Last month we featured the Stolpman, La Cuadrilla, and I admitted to being smitten by the Stolpman wines I’ve tried. That led me to contact Pete and see about a tasting, and just like that, we settled on April 29th.
These are wines of place, vines dry-farmed in a limestone vein of the cool-climate Ballard Canyon AVA in the Santa Ynez region. We’ll taste the La Cuadrilla, a Syrah-dominant wine named for the workers who tend the vines, pick the grapes and keep the profits. We’ll pick a second wine. The choices are all good.
